It would appear that the attackers weren't attempting to impersonate MegaETH in a serious way, but rather launched their "Nigga Coin" as a joke to build engagement. The token shows 40 transactions.

There is a possibility that the hack was entirely staged, given that the team shared a video of a "MegaETH lurker" somehow changing the video feed of the founder just prior to the hack.
